Gold Beach the great outdoors raw and upclose

On a clear day you have to see the Cape!

It's a short drive from the Inn of the Beachcomber and worth the back tracking it if you came from the south at night. You have no idea of how many people I check in after dark that I tell to go back to Cape Sebastein and get an idea of what you missed in the dark. On the other side you can see pretty far North and it is a great primer for the drive north to Port Orford and the light house at Cape Blanco

Looking south towards "The Rock" Pistol River. On a clear day you can see Arch Rock.

344.8 ARCH ROCK (NATURE WALK) Easy. 17 min. from GBVC. 8 min. from Cape Sebastian and worth the drive to catch "The Rock" and Meyers Creek wayside. ¼ mile loop on paved path. Great Photo opps. Restrooms (pit), benches & picnic tables

From the North Lookout you can see Gold Beach and the Rogue Reef

A Great hike to enjoy this spectaculer view

334.7 CAPE SEBASTIAN (TRAIL HIKE) Moderate. 7 min. from GBVC. Start at South parking lot (panoramic view!). The beach to the south is Myer’s Beach, (“One of the most photographed beach’s & one of the ‘Top 5’ windsurfing spots in the world”). Full trail is 1.6 miles to ocean (very cool!), 1.6 miles back. If you’re not up for the entire adventure, at least walk the ¼ mile to the viewpoint at the western edge of this interesting headland. Great whale watch spot
